Certification
Teach Me Srpski is the only institution in Serbia certified by the Ministry of Education to issue official CEFR certificates in Serbian as a foreign language - fully online.
I believe people deserve real verification for the effort they put into learning a language. For the international community learning Serbian – whether for studying, a job, citizenship, or simply to belong here a little more fully – I wanted to offer that. And I chose to make it as convenient as possible: no waiting in line, no limited yearly exam dates – just prove what you’ve worked hard to achieve, on your own time, from the comfort of your home.
Teach Me Srpski is accredited by the Qualifications Agency of the Republic of Serbia, operating under the Ministry of Education, to test and certify Serbian language proficiency according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) – the internationally recognized standard used to describe language ability, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery).
We currently offer certification at two levels:
- A2 – elementary, everyday communication
- B1 – independent, practical fluency
This isn’t a simple certificate of completion. It’s an officially recognized certification, issued under Ministry of Education accreditation.
Students take the certificate for practical purposes, not just as a badge of progress
There are three ways to reach certification, depending on where you’re starting:
- Enroll in the A2 / B1 Course – for students not yet at the target level. A fully individualized course (typically 30–60 lessons) builds you up to the level, followed by the certification exam.
- Take the exam directly – if you’re already confident in your level, you can sign up for the certification exam right away.
- Prepare first, then test – not sure what to expect from the exam? The Exam Preparation Package (3 lessons + the exam) gets you ready before you sit it.
The exam itself is conducted online via the Pruefster platform, so you can take it from the comfort of your own home – no travel, no crowded waiting rooms, no fixed appointment dates. You book a time that works for you and take it when you feel ready. It covers both a written component (2 hours) and an oral component, assessing all core language skills.
